Terms of use and print/profit stipulations:

It has come to my attention that people are now starting to use stock photos for prints.

My stock photos are NOT TO BE USED FOR PROFIT. Should you decide you want to make a print of something you've made from my stock, you need to email me and discuss it with me. I have a problem with people making  money off of other people's work without due credit. A very LARGE problem.

I understand that photo manipulations are hard work. I do them frequently. However, that does not give you the right to use other people's work without full credit, permission, and sharing of any profit you may gain from said pieces of art.

So know, that if you ask me if you can use my art for prints (photomanips, backgrounds, anything) I'm likely to ask you to share a portion of your profit with me.

My stock is not to be used for something for profit without prior consent. Failure to comply may result in legal action.

I know. This makes me sound like an evil bastard with no sympathy for anyone or no room to budge. That isn't the case. As with many other stock photographers, I simply want credit where credit is due. These aren't just "Pictures that are crap that I am not using." Most of these are pictures that I put quite a bit of thought into taking that I thought might be useful for photo manipulations, backgrounds in cgs, texture, brushes, etc.

Please, definitely email me if you want to use them in something that you plan to sell. The big problem is PRIOR PERMISSION.

That doesn't mean you can't use them at all. I think people are misunderstanding that this means people aren't allowed to use my stock without asking first. You're welcome to use it. Go for it. Abuse the hell out of it. But please, if you do, credit me. Leave a note in your deviation saying that you used my stock. Have that note link back to either the specific picture or my general stock-photography account.

And please send me a note! Let me know that you've used it. I'd love to see what people can make out of the photos I've taken.

What to do if you've used one of my photos in something:

We STILL  seem to be having some problems knowing the difference between sending me a NOTE and leaving a comment on my front page.

The problem with leaving me comments on my front page that you've used my stock is that it doesn't notify me. I have to come to my front page and hope I've caught it before some other note pushes it off the front.

As such, please NOTE me if you use my stock.

On the subject of requests:

I am willing to take requests as long as I have the ability or resources to take the picture requested. I try to check this account as frequently as my other accounts, so it's fine to leave requests here. Please send them in a note. DO NOT LEAVE THEM ON THE FRONT PAGE. There is a chance that they will get pushed off the front and I will miss them.

Note that I can't/won't take photos of everything under the sun, but I'm pretty open, so if in doubt, ask! Worst thing I can do is say "I'm sorry but I can't/won't do that [insert reason here, dependant on subject matter]." Never hurts to ask.

I now have an additional model who may be willing to let me use them for more photos, so that's also something to look at.
